My name is Vince Andrews and i am in my fifty’s. Married with 3 grown up children who have left the roost. Like many of you, i have worked in dead end jobs for minimal wages throughout my life. The reason i stayed with horrible jobs that i did not like is because i was not adventurous and thought that at least its a regular wage income. Because of these manual heavy lifting jobs that i put up with, i eventually ended up where i could no longer work in that type of industry through a progressive disability. I tried to retrain in business management doing a three level NVQ course in this course. After three years and a lot of sleepless nights, i qualified. No matter where i applied for vacancies, i got the same old story, we are looking for someone younger, you do not have enough practical experience, we only employ female secretaries. The list of refusals seemed endless. After some 2 -3 thousand applications being refused and failed interviews, i realised that i was suposedly on the scrap heap of life.
I then started asking myself the question, what can i do about it. I could just sit and accept it or i could stop feeling sorry for myself and make some money in other ways. I decided that i would use the internet to do some research and maybe try a few investments. Like many, i thought that i had a good idea of what i was doing. I took what little money i had saved up and began investing some of it into ventures that looked good and profitable. Things seemed to be going great at first, but then some of the ventures that i had invested in went bust. I should have realised then that it would be a good idea to collect in what money and profit i had in other ventures and wait untill i had more training and knowledge. I did not take my own advise and before long i had lost the lot one way or another.
That was when the depression hit me like a brick, I cried, could not sleep, was irritable and snappy with my loved ones and freinds. I felt that i had let them all down, especially my family. I had squandered all of my savings thinking that i was doing the right thing and did not dream for one minute that i would end up penniless and really struggle to make ends meet. I tried going back into the industry that i knew, but could not keep up the pace that was expected because after just a few minutes the pain that had disabled me was unbearable and my employers could not afford to have someone who could work a few minutes and then have to sit or lay down for a period of time to let the pain subside to a workable level. So no job again. I could have comitted suicide, i felt that useless.
Whilst i was once again, staying at home, unable to work, i checked my email box and sifted through counless spam and con emails. Then one email out of a full in box, stood out for some reason (i still do not know why, this particular email stood out from the rest), but it did. On reading that email, i remembered that i had signed up to an email newletter a day or so ago. That email newsletter was from a guy called John Thornhill. I clicked on the link that was in the email to visit his newsletter site and started to read the text that was on the page. He was offering an ebook business package at a very reasonable price of $47 i think it was. The way that he had written this first newsletter impressed my because he was not trying to tell me that i could make loads of money with no effort. Believe me, i had recieved thousands of the type that say you will make vast amounts of money in a few days. What johns newsletter told me is that i could make a decent living by following a set out strategy and that i had to be willing to work at it and give it some time to start working.
I knew that i did not have any money in my pocket, but christmas was coming and if i could still get hold of the package when i recieved monetary christmas boxes from family and freinds, i could invest that into the package and see what happened. So when i had the money i went for it. I bought the package and after a few months of getting it all in place, i actually started to earn some money. Granted that it was not a lot, but it did show potential and did soon grow more lucrative and it was not stating that it was a get rich quick load of bull£%$”.
