It is not often that a free piece of software comes along and actually delivers on what it is supposed to do. Well Directory Submitter delivers exactly what it says it will. This piece of software comes from Brad Callen who provides only top-quality functional programs. Sure there’s other software out there that can do the same job as Directory Submitter but they do not do it as efficiently as this one.
Directory Submitter comes in two flavours. You have the gold version of which you can purchase or the free version which is totally free of charge. The free version is the one that this review is about and it does a wonderful job of submitting your websites, in a lot less time than it would take you to do otherwise.
Once you have downloaded and installed the program and you then run it, you are presented with a very nice and easy to use interface. The interface has a minimal amount of buttons and yet gives a smooth transition of elements from one area to another. You can see from the start the amount of directories that you can submit to in the main top area of the window. You have 85 that you can choose from and you can submit to them all if you want to.
Everything is carried out from the main page and as you click on the few buttons, pop up windows appear on the screen. The first thing that you need to do is to add a project, which means adding details about your website. You go ahead and click on the Add Project button, then type in a project name and click the next button. Then add your Personal Information to this window. The username and password in this area is for storing a username and password that you would like to use for the directories that you submit to. I suggest you use a unique username and password, ones that you hope have not been taken by other members of the directory sites. Not all of the directory sites will require you to do this but some will.
Click next to move on to the website information area. Here you will enter things like the URL of your website, keywords etc. You can then click the Finish button. Once that is done you can double-click on any of the directory sites in the list to submit your website to their directory. Now comes the best part, now you have filled in your website, personal information and website details you can now submit that information to any and all of the directories in the list. You no longer have to repeat the long process of filling in your data on each and every one of the directory sites.
As you will see this little gem of a program will save you quite literally hours of time, whenever you use it. You can also watch a video on how to use this piece of software on Brad’s website. The software is also being updated regularly with new features. I have started using this software myself and honestly would not like to be with out it. So there you have it!
