DO TRAFFIC EXCHANGES REALLY WORK
The answer to that question is a resounding YESSSS… They can be extremely profitable for promoting your website, squeeze pages, splash pages and for especially your affiliate links…
What’s that i hear some of you say…
I DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO BE ABLE TO ADVERTISE ON TRAFFIC EXCHANGES
Well neither do i ? I use them for FREE… It is OK for the big guys in Internet Marketing, has they have the money to buy their advertising… Well they did not always have the money to invest when they first started out… They too joined some TRAFFIC EXCHANGES and used them for FREE… The only thing that it cost them was some free-time to surf…
I know what you are thinking… Yeah! But i do not have enough time… Well i am going to show you how to use just a small amount of time each day, that will have you earning enough advertising credits that will make you wonder why you did not use Traffic Exchanges before now…
Even if you do not have your own website or product, you can still start accumulating advertising credits…
WHY USE THEM…
First of all i want to explain why even if you are an absolute beginner to Internet Marketing, why it is an advantage to start using Traffic Exchange websites for the collecting of credits… Even if you do not have anything to advertise yet…
There is a great deal of time and work that a person has to do before they will be up and running with a website. Unless of course it is a ready built FREE website that has been given to them, when signing up for an affiliate program or other such type of opportunity..
It is really pointless having even a FREE website that you can make money off, if you do not have the resources to advertise it… Even if you do have a website that is up and running, you can still take advantage of using Traffic Exchanges. But for those of you that do not, using Traffic Exchanges RIGHT NOW to collect credits for when you are ready to get advertising will be like having MONEY IN THE BANK ready and waiting to go on your advertising campaign…
By the time you do have some sort of product to advertise, whether it is a website, ebooks or anything else you can amass literally thousands and thousands of credits and have them standing by to be used at a moments notice…
Is it becoming more clear to you why you should be using Traffic Exchanges even with nothing to advertise?
I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME…
What about having the time to gather those credits.
Let’s discuss that issue now… If you spent about one hour a day surfing the pages of a Traffic Exchange website, you will be collecting around 100 credits. THAT’S NOT MANY I HEAR YOU SAYING! Well, what if you could make around 500 credits or more for that hour… Now i hear you say, THAT’S MUCH BETTER! But how…
The first thing that you are going to need is an internet browser that allows you to surf in a tabbed environment… You can use IE7, Googles enhanced IE7, Safari, Avant, Opera, Firefox etc…
All of the above will have its advantages and disadvantages, It is really up to you to decide. I personally use Mozilla Firefox for all of my browsing needs and only use EI6xx if i really need to… I have not tried IE7 with or without the Google advantage, because it is still rather buggy on some pc’s… I have used Opera and it is a very a good choice and very easy to use…
SETTING UP YOUR BROWSER…
A step by step for you to follow…
If you have firefox or other tabbed browser, open it up, (if not then i suggest that you download firefox from the link below and install it). It is totally free to use.
- First of all go to the top of firefox or other browser and click on Bookmarks. If you are using a different browser, then it may be called favourites or something else. All will have a capability to store sites that you like using.

Select the Bookmark This Page tab in the menu area of your browser and click on it.

In the applet window that opens, click on the little down pointing arrow in the little square box if you are using firefox.

Click on the New Folder.. area at the bottom left in the applet window.

In the little window that appears on top of the applet, you will see an area that is highlighted in blue. Just type in the following name Traffic Exchanges and it will appear where the highlighted area was.

Click on the OK tab and the folder will be created. Now click on the New Folder button again and type in 1-5 and click on OK. Next click on Cancel ( don’t worry the folders will still have been created and will have no pages saved in them yet.
GET SOME TRAFFIC EXCHANGES
The next thing that you will need to do is to sign up to some Traffic Exchange websites… I have included some below that you can sign up for… They are all 10 to 30 second timers and have good bonus credits… All can be joined for FREE.

Before i get on to the next part of this mini course, i just want to tell you about an email that i received…
A QUESTION ASKED…
I had some one mail me with the question “are you sure that TE’s work and why”
I replied with some of the same answers that i have stated in this mini course, but i expanded on why i believe that they work with the following information…
Okay Joe (that is not his real name), lets look at it logically, TE’s have been around for a very long time, i remember starting to use them in the late 70’s as a way to earn credits that i could exchange for money and made quite a bit of income from it… About a year ago i decided to start my own business up on the internet and did not have much money to invest in advertising, so i was looking round to find a cheap way of advertising that would not cost me any money to begin with… I remembered using the TE’s and thought that i would take a look at their statistics i.e., how many people were using them… I was amazed to see that their were absolutely hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people that used them.
This told me right away that they must work or they would not have survived from the late 70’s to today and would certainly have not had such a huge following… I started by just joining one and surfed for several hours a day, advertising some of my things along the way in the one i was using…
Within a matter of days, i was selling some of the services that i was putting on them, not a lot to start with but it built up steadily as i went along… Then someone showed me how to surf using a tabbed browser, i think that it was Opera… I joined a few more of the TE’s and i built up a collection of credits for a week or so before i wanted to advertise… Once i started using the TE credits that i accumulated on these sites, my income went from a couple of sales a day to 11, 13 and some times over 15… All because i was using a set of TE’s at the same time instead of using one and waiting for the timer to count down each time… It is up to you joe to make the choice of giving the Traffic Exchanges a try, but i honestly think that if you do, you will at least have some free advertising and make some money along the way…

So there you have it, joe is better informed now about TE’s and i do hope that he gives it a try…
NO ACTION, NO PROFIT…
I hope that you have taken action and equipped yourself with a tabbed browser and also created the folders that i asked you to… You will also have had to join one or more of the Traffic exchanges that i mentioned earlier…
Once you have the Traffic Exchange sites in a folder, start up your browser and go to the bookmarks area… Click on Bookmarks, Favourites or whatever it is called in the browser you are using… Go down the list to the folder that you have your TE’s stored in and you should see the Open All In Tabs… or something similar… Click on it and all the sites that you have in that folder will open in tabs across your browser…
SURFING YOUR TRAFFIC EXCHANGE TABS…
All that you need to do now is to click on each tab, login to the site if needed and click on start soughing… Go to the next tab and do the same if needed and so on to the last tab… You are now ready to surf each of the tabbed sites… Start on the first tab and click on the matching number or icon and move to the next tab do the same again and so on to the last… Go to the first tab again and repeat the steps to browse another page for credit…
That is basically all that you need to do to earn double, triple etc. credits…
LIKE AS LIKE…
I do not recommend that you have more than five 10 – 15 second timer sites in a folder as it should only take a couple of seconds to click on each one… If one of the sites that are tabbed is not ready to be clicked again when you go round, then just move on to the next tab, as it is not worth just waiting around when you can carry on and earn more credits… Some of the sites will give you bonus links that appear just below where you click, look out for these as they all had up…
BUSY, BUSY BUSY…
Life just gets more and more busy, the more you build your business…
Take a look at that last line! Do you know what it is saying to you? It is saying that no business builds itself. The reason i am making this point, is because so many people are told that, almost all of the work is done for you in there sales pitch. Forget it! It is just not true. You only grow your business or ventures by putting in many hours of effort. Remember this and you will do very well. Forget it and you will fail miserable….
Now that’s out of the way lets carry on with our discussion on TE’s use for advertising.
PROVING MY POINT…
To prove a point to you that it does work and that you can do it for free, simply by surfing on a few TE’s each day and using your credits to advertise i set up a new auto responder to test this out.
So on Monday this week at about 8:00 pm i put one advert in each of the TE’s that i listed earlier in this tutorial and assigned an amount of credits to each advert. Then set the adverts running and forgot about them. Today, Tuesday evening, i went to my auto responder at email aces and found that i have had 5 people sign up to my new Affiliate Funnel list. I know that these people have come from those particular TE adverts as those ads are the only ones directed to this auto responder…
That might not be a lot you may thing but remember that they cost me noting but just over one hours work. Now that these people are on my list, i have the option of advertising some of my products and services to them and if they buy anything that sale cost me only a little time as i am also only a free member of the TE’s that i mentioned earlier…
That means, that Free Traffic Exchanges do work and i hope that you are going to use them to prosper. You can also buy credits at a very small price if that is what you want to do. That way you do not have to spend your time surfing the TE’s and that is entirely up to you. If you have money to spare then go ahead, but if you do not have the money to do so, just carry on doing it for free…
FORMS OF ADVERTISING ON TRAFFIC EXCHANGES…
So you now have some credits from your Traffic Exchanges and want to advertise some of your affiliates or other products…
The first thing that you need to know, is what type of adverts can be used and how to get the best out of them. Well there are three types of ads that can be used or four if you include full website pages…
WEBSITE PAGES…
Let’s talk a little about full website pages and their downfall. A normal website page is normally quite long and will need to be scrolled down to view what is below the visible window. That spells disaster for you if you are going to advertise a website in Traffic Exchanges. What is wrong here. We already know that the majority of people that use the TE’s are trying to earn as many credits as they can, in the least amount of time. That should tell us that they are not going to remain on a page that they are surfing for very long…
If the website page we are advertising is longer than the normal viewed window of the browser, they are not going to mess around scrolling down to look at what we have on our website page. What do we do to entice them to stay longer. It is no good us adding a video or sound file, as that will make the page take longer to load up. The same can be said of flashy animations and too many pictures. So if we are definitely still going to put up our website page on a Traffic Exchange, we are going to have to use titles and text strategies to capture the viewers 2 or 3 second attention whilst on the page. Make it stand out…
SPLASH PAGES…
I would recommend that SPLASH pages be used at all times, instead of the slow loading full website pages… A splash page is very similar to the normal website page, but differs in the time it would take to load into the normal browser window of your Traffic Exchanges. This gives you the advantage of the viewing public to be able to see what you are now offering very quickly before moving on to the next site.
If you are an affiliate member of any sites that you have joined or have purchased from, that place will more often than not have SPLASH pages as a way for you to build up your referrals, that help to also build up an income for you on anything that they buy whilst remaining your refferal.
These SPLASH pages that the site has for you should be the ones that you use in your Traffic Exchange sites… They can and will, as you keep advertising them on a regular basis make you money…
BANNER ADS…
Small and graphical banners that can be used in almost all the Traffic Exchanges. This type of advertising is often overlooked be many of the people that advertise on the Traffic Exchanges. Why this is so, i do not really understand and the only explanation that i can come up with is that because they are only small adverts, they cannot have areas that can be used for people to fill in with their details to join a mailing list…
Whilst i have been using Traffic Exchanges, i almost certainly have found that a good banner display will capture my attention more than a website that has video or sound embedded. If you have joined as an affiliate or purchased a product from a site that you are now a member of, you will find banners are almost certainly provided for you to use and because you will gather banner credits on the TE’s that you use, then why not use them and at least have some more free advertising for whatever it is that you advertise…
TEXT ADS…
Again this form of advertising is often overlooked by Traffic Exchange advertisers. That is probably because TEXT ads do not have any fancy graphics etc. Most Traffic Exchanges will have a facility for you to use them on their sites but remember that you can only have a short message of around 26 characters, so you need to make sure that whatever you are trying to say as an high impact to attract the viewer in. It is always best to use something that holds mystery for the potential surfer. Look at these two lines of text…
Get More In Your LIST…
WANT TO KNOW THE SECRET…
Which would you click on, you may say neither of them. Well i can tell you that you would have more success with the second line, than you would have with the first. The reason being is that the first line holds no mystery. It just states what it is, LISTs. The second line however holds some mystery for the viewer and if they are curious, they may just click on it. If they do, then the area that they are delivered to can still be for advertising a list or any other product.
They may not stay on the site, because they are not interested in building a list, but they may have never thought about lists and decide to read on and are triggered into signing up. The page that they are delivered to can be for anything that you are advertising.
All three of the Traffic Exchange advertising methods that are mentioned above do work and the order that i have put them in, is the priority of their worth. So i say to you, use all three of them to advertise if you have credits hanging around in your Traffic Exchange accounts…
