Answer: Maybe, No, Sometimes, Never, Possibly and Yes…
These are some of the answers that i have seen, oh so often
whilst trawling the internet for a decent conclusion to this often asked question…
On so many occasions people give up looking for an answer. Well here is my own experience with FREE leads. It all depends on where they come from and how the leads have been collected. Some are a total waste of time, whilst others can indeed be quite profitable. But be warned, unless they have been double opted things can go very bad for you, when you use them. You may even end up being accused of spamming these people and if you are, you run the risk of either getting your auto responder or your isp closing you down. Very often, you will not even be notified about the closure…
Lets talk a little about the term double optin. What does the term mean? Well if you run a website and you have a subscribe page or box on that site and someone fills out their information to allow you to send them emails. They will most likely recieve an automatic email from you or your auto responder telling them that they have opted to give you their email contact information in exchange for your service. The automatic email that you send will have some text stating what the person has opted into. It should also include a link that they must use to accept your terms. This link is the second part of their optin process and gives you the double optin that you required for their signing up to your newsletter list etc. That makes it safe to send out your emails to them as customers of your service.
Another vital thing with free leads is that unless you know how old they are, they could be years or months out of date and if that is the case, they will not give you much of a return if any on the time you take to use them…
Just taking note of those last two areas will benefit you in more ways than you would imagine, so remember to be careful..
There is another safe way to get yourself some really free visitors to your site and that is what is known as virally. This method is a relatively new concept and is really paying dividends in the amount of traffic that can be generated to a site. You can do it for free and apart from doing a little advertising, it is one of the best ways that i have come across in the last few months…
Without doubt, once you discover how simple getting viral visitors is, you will wish that you had been using it before…
